It is the policy of the school to set and mark homework, which may be research, reading, writing or project work. This is set in order that pupils may consolidate the work already done in the classroom. It encourages children to work independently and develop the habit of self-discipline. It is the responsibility of parents/carers to ensure it is completed. If you want more homework for your child, please contact the appropriate Head of Year.
Homework will be set on a regular basis and specific homework tasks will be identified as work to be levelled. Assessment will be carried out every half term. Once every half term, each subject area will give a main piece of homework. This homework will be formally assessed. It is important that your child completes this work as it impacts on their National Curriculum level, academic progress and end of Key Stage target.
